The electrotechnical modern apprenticeship competition (eMAc) in 2008 at the SECC in January will see the best eight apprentice electricians from around Scotland vie for the position of best apprentice. The competition is based upon a practical exercise related to their job and studies carried out at SECTT approved training centres throughout their apprenticeship. The exercise will take at least two and a half days and will be in full view of the visitors, giving them all a valuable insight to the quality of work and skills apprentice's learn over their three to four year period of training.
